I've been away for too long

Two crucial things I forgot to bring to Los Angeles: sunglasses and my Nintendo DS. My brother bought me Zelda: Spirit Tracks for Christmas and I am dying to play it.

Hermes is infected with the random shutdown syndrome, so I’m checking him in over the break so they can run diagnostics. Hope all goes well!

Here are pictures from my iPhone that I’ve been meaning to post but haven’t. They’re in a somewhat chronological order from most recent to oldest.

People said that it would be difficult to work in the NY office because of all the noise; there are about 50 salespeople talking on headsets for 8 hours a day. But I think the most distracting part is the view (also, I have really good earbuds):

When we dropped him off on Broadway, pedestrians yelled, “Nooo, you can’t throw that away!” I was a little teary-eyed.

Happy holidays everyone!

    hi, and thanks!

all you need is a big cardboard box, felt, red tulle (for the mouth), glue, thread + needle that’s strong enough to poke through cardboard, and lots of duct tape.

refrigerator, washer/dryer, and dishwasher boxes work the best. i couldn’t find one, so i used a box from gamestop, which was very narrow but it was the right width and height (i think it was used for posters) so i had to get extra cardboard to widen the box, which was a pain.

i basically drew out how i wanted the domokun to look with respect to the size of the box. then i cut out the felt for the eyes and teeth. then i cut out the holes for the mouth and arm, and duct taped weak areas. i covered the box with a big sheet of brown felt and glued it down. it’s almost like wrapping a big box!

afterwards glued on the eyes and teeth and sewed the tulle on for the mouth

    hope this helps! good luck!

Hi, I'm Mindy. People who meet me and then happen to stumble upon my blog are usually surprised that I have things to say because I'm quiet. Yes, I actually have thoughts. I have feelings and emotions too, believe it or not. more ↓

People who know me will say that I’m loud, too nice for my own good, and show signs of someone with a mild case of autism.

I grew up with two older brothers and no friends, which means my childhood was spent bouncing between PC, NES, and Playstation games. I consider myself a casual gamer– I never leave home without my DS. My favorite video game character will always be Quina Quen from Final Fantasy 9.

Once upon a time, I studied abroad in Paris and loved it so, so much. I think about Paris on a bi-hourly basis. I now live in San Francisco, but hope to move to New York someday.

I love pugs, Kinder Eggs, traveling, and shy people.

I don’t like spiders, horseradish, driving, and being shy. less ↑
