Today

I dreamt about creme brulee last night— possibly because of the Top Chef: New York episode where Alex makes rose creme brulee— and therefore spent today making it. Dreams do come true.

While waiting for the creme brulee to set, I was sitting in front of my computer and could see a person out of the corner of my eye dashing to and fro in the apartment building next to mine. I looked over to see what they were doing, and it was a naked girl. It was timed perfectly so right when I looked at her, she looked at me. I shot her a look of surprise and shock and she returned a look of disgust and closed her blinds. She has never opened them since.

I can’t wait to see Coraline.

I also can’t wait to go home next week for Chinese New Years, where we eat dishes made with ingredients featured on the endangered species list.

uh oh’s you forgot the accents on crème brûlée… mmm… i can’t wait for chinese new year so i can get my fix for panda and koala bear.

  • Helena says:

have you read the book Coraline? it’s short and good. plus Neil Gaiman is a good writer.

mindy: no i haven’t! hmm i’m going to pick it up tomorrow so i’ll be done before the movie comes out

  • Daniel Chen says:

Wow! I love your blog. Clean, great layout, and textile input fields. Neil Gaiman is amazing. I really want to go see Coraline.

    ——-
mindy: ha thanks daniel! i actually get a lot (more like 3) of complaints about how hard it is to comment, but i’m too lazy to fix it. maybe one day. i just saw coraline in 3D. it was just as amazing as the book.

Hi, I'm Mindy. People who meet me and then happen to stumble upon my blog are usually surprised that I have things to say because I'm quiet. Yes, I actually have thoughts. I have feelings and emotions too, believe it or not. more ↓

People who know me will say that I’m loud, too nice for my own good, and show signs of someone with a mild case of autism.

I grew up with two older brothers and no friends, which means my childhood was spent bouncing between PC, NES, and Playstation games. I consider myself a casual gamer– I never leave home without my DS. My favorite video game character will always be Quina Quen from Final Fantasy 9.

Once upon a time, I studied abroad in Paris and loved it so, so much. I think about Paris on a bi-hourly basis. I now live in San Francisco, but hope to move to New York someday.

The name of my website comes from a Teen Girl Squad episode.

I love pugs, Kinder Eggs, traveling, and shy people.

I don’t like spiders, horseradish, driving, and being shy. less ↑
